Communicates Well
Chris is a fun drums teacher and works very well with kids. He communicates well about students’ progress every week. He always makes sure that the student understands the current lesson before moving on to the next one. We would gladly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a drums instructor! – Mala (parent)
Nice, Not Mean
“Chris is nice because he corrects you without saying mean things. He doesn’t be mean to his students. He lets you play whatever you want at the beginning of class.” – Abe (student, 2nd grade)
Personal Style
“The thing I enjoy most about Chris’ teaching style is how personal he is. Rather than giving random exercises that may be of little to no benefit, he asks you what your goals are. With this information he is able to come up with a practice plan that will improve your playing rapidly. The reason his methods are so effective is that all the lessons are based around you. This has led me to learn several technically difficult songs, learn many jazz techniques, and even learn some mallet percussion as well. Not only do I achieve many musical things with my lessons but also I have a terrific time because of how much of a friendly guy Chris is. He turns lessons from a weekly drudgery to a very fun and productive 30 minutes.” – Peter
Encouraging Creativity
“We signed [our son] up for drum lessons with Chris so that he could maintain what he had learned in school through the summer. Chris did an excellent job with [him]! [He] went from seeing drumming as a class at school to enjoying them for fun. [He] continues to study with Chris, who has helped develop his technique while encouraging his creativity.” – Monica
Fun & Interactive
“Our son, who is only six, looks forward to coming to his drumming lessons and shows great interest at home when he is practicing. Mr. Chris makes the lesson fun and very interactive.” – Bridgett
Creative & Patient
“Chris’s teaching techniques are creative and his patience admirable.” – Tamara (parent)
The Value of Practice
“Chris has helped [my son] learn two skills: how to play the snare drum and how to study. My son has learned the value of practice, which has carried over into school and home life. [My son] appreciates Chris’ open, honest manner. He loves learning new skills by playing along with Chris. I would (and have) recommend Chris Vincent to other students.” – Rebecca
